Hi there, attendees!
With the Summit just a couple of days away (that's this coming Monday, February 4, in case it slipped your mind), we've got some quick updates about timing, logistics, scheduling, cocktail partying, and other miscellaneous but incredibly important things:
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
We've got a full day planned, so make sure you get to the summit early for a good seat. Coffee and pastry begins at 8am, introductory remarks begin at 8:45am, and the first speaker (Tony Hsieh from Zappos!) goes on at 9am. Then we've got presentations, panels, lunching, and workshops, all wrapping up at 5:30pm.
Afterwards, please join us for our open bar cocktail party, 7:30pm to 9:30pm at the Crimson Lounge (more details below).
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
The Summit's being held at the Golden Gate Club in the lovely Presidio park here in SF. Here's the address:
135 Fisher Loop, Presidio State Park, San Francisco, CA 94129
But more importantly, since it's in the middle of a park with a whole bunch of entrances, here are directions to the Club from every conceivable starting place.
If you prefer your directions personalized, here's a Google Map link to get you started.
Even more importantly, if you're driving, pay attention to this part: All attendees should either park in the Golden Gate Club parking lot or at the Main Post Parking area (there are signs.) Parking is *not* allowed in the Residential Area across the street on Lincoln. You'll get towed, so don't even try it!
LUNCHTIME WORKSHOPS
We're going to be hosting not one, not two, but seven different half-hour long workshop sessions during lunch, and we've lined up a bunch of interesting, talented people to lead them on subjects ranging from — well, from customer service, to marketing, and everything in between.
There will be two sessions of each workshop during lunch (with time to get food before and clean up afterwards, of course.) Participation is entirely optional, but space is limited, so we'll have sign-up sheets at the registration booth when you check in. Check out the list of presenters on the Web site, and if one looks interesting show up early for registration (and coffee!) to make sure you get a seat.
ONLINE NETWORKING
We've hooked up with Crowdvine, an online conference networking service, to provide pre- and post-summit networking. Have you signed up yet? You really should.
You can use Crowdvine to find people you might want to meet and contact them in advance, or catch up with people after the event that you want to stay in touch with. It's pretty nifty. Check it out!
POST-SUMMIT COCKTAIL PARTY NETWORKING
What better way to wind down from a long but fulfilling day of interesting speakers and scintillating conversation than with even more scintillating conversation, paired up with cocktails? Please join us for a post-Summit networking party at the Crimson Lounge in San Francisco, with an open bar provided by our excellent sponsor Joyent.

OUR LOVELY SPONSORS
We've had all sorts of great help putting this Summit together, including the support of our gracious sponsors. Special thanks to Joyent for the party, VentureBeat for their media sponsorship, Mohr-Davidow Ventures for helping out with lunch, and the Web 2.0 Expo for their support as well.
The Web 2.0 Expo returns to San Francisco in April 2008 -- the premier event designed to teach Web 2.0 techniques and best practices to the people directly involved in the design, development, engineering, marketing, and business of next- generation internet technology. Whether youÕre new to the Web 2.0 world or a battle-worn veteran, register to attend and hear from experts and industry leaders, get first a first look at under- the-radar innovations, and connect and collaborate with your peers.
The Web 2.0 Expo has also extended a special offer to "Customer Service is the New Marketing" attendees: Save $100 off any of the conference packages or get a Free Expo Pass when you register using discount code websf08ob17.
